Remote Client Connection (Web Access)
*This Is For Authorized Users Only*
(*You May Want To Print this Page Before
Continuing Remote Client Connection*)
In order to connect remotely (outside the
center), please follow these instructions closely. First you
will need to download a Citrix client. Please
click here and choose the "Web Client Package (.msi)"
from the available choices (this one is the third option
down). Once downloaded, install the client then proceed to
the next paragraph.
Next you will need to install a certificate. Please
right click here and choose
"save target as..." and a Save As window will appear. Then
with the Save As window open choose where you want to save
this file (the desktop screen is a good place). Before you
hit save, at the bottom of the Save As window, change the
"Save as type" field to "All Files" (NOT Html Document).
Right above this field you will see "File name" "certnew".
Type ".cer" at the end of the "certnew" name so it appears
as "certnew.cer". Now you can hit save. Then go to where you
saved this file and right click the
file and click on "install certificate". After that
follow the install instructions. Then type (or click here)
http://207.68.37.36/citrix/metaframe into your browser's
URL field. You will be directed to a log in screen where you
will enter your username and password you were assigned at
the center (if a security pop up displays, please choose
download file). You are given access to certain applications
based on your security level. Once you are logged on you can
choose the application and work as normal. Once you are
finished please log off. If there is an extended amount of
inactivity you will logged off automatically. If you have
any questions please contact Ron Griffin at
rgriffin@merrimac-center.net or by calling 757-887-0225.
(Note: This is currently supported on Windows XP only)
Remote E-Mail Access
In order to remotely check your e-mail
(access outside the Center) type
(or click here)
http://webmail.merrimac-center.net/exchange into your browser's
URL field. Then type your assigned username and password
into the login screen. After this you can use Microsoft
Outlook as usual. Note: If you only want to
check your e-mail use this option instead of the above
option. The above option does not allow e-mail access to all
users. If you have any questions please contact Ron Griffin
at
rgriffin@merrimac-center.net or call 757-887-0225.
(Note: This is supported on Windows XP and Mac OSX only)
