Full-Time Overnight Counselor Position

The Merrimac Juvenile Detention Center is seeking experienced individuals to perform professional level work in a therapeutic program. We are currently hiring a full time (40 hours per week) position to add to our overnight team. Work includes, but is not limited to, supervision and direct care of youth, crisis intervention, individualized goal planning, and facilitation of group sessions in a cognitive behavioral training environment. This position will include weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Bachelorís Degree in a related field preferred or an Associateís Degree in a related field and two years of experience working with youth required. Requires a background investigation to include criminal history, sex offender registry records check, child protective services check, and physical exam with drug test.
