Full Time Counselor Position

The Merrimac Juvenile Detention Center is seeking experienced individuals to perform professional level work in a secure therapeutic program. Work includes supervision and direct care of youth, behavioral intervention, and facilitation of group sessions in a cognitive behavioral training environment. This position works shifts on days, evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays. Bachelorís Degree in a related field preferred or an Associateís Degree in a related field and three years of experience working with teens required. 

Requires a background investigation to include criminal history, child protective services, sex offender registry records checks, and physical exam with drug test. Starting Salary $35,917+ based on education and experience and full benefits.

On-Call Counselor Position

We are currently seeking counselors for our on-call roster.

This position works shifts on days, evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays. Bachelorís Degree in a related field preferred or an Associateís Degree in a related field and three years of experience working with teens required.

Requires a background investigation to include criminal history, child protective services, sex offender registry records checks, and drug test. Starting hourly wage is $17.27+ based on experience.
